Mil Spec Mini SHOT
(RED DOT REFLEX SIGHT)
Combined with our special mount, this red dot reflex sight allows the shooter to choose between our Skinner Aperture Sights and an illuminated red dot at any time while afield.
This lightweight (2 Oz) small (2") illuminated sight can be removed and replaced easily in the field. We have specially modified a weaver style base, (small enough to be out of the way while using Skinner Sights), to fit the Henry Octagon Barrel Rimfire rifles, the Marlin1894/336/1895, and Henry 30-30/45-70 series and BIG BOY rifles.
The MIL SPEC version is extremely durable, has up to a 30,000 hour battery life, features a clear red dot with variable intensity, instant on with a push of a button, and comes with an extended riser base (good for AR Flat tops) included.
I've been testing these extensively and have nothing but praise to give them!
These work VERY well on our Lever Rifle Rails as shown on our Scope Mounts
page. CONSIDER: Install our Picatinny Rail with Integral Peep for most of your shooting, then install one of these ahead of the peep for those low light situations where a little dot would be helpful.
NOT intended to "Co-Wittness" but to be used as an optional sighting choice.

You can carry your Mini Shot in a pocket or backpack and use it for special occasions such as low light. By using a consistent mounting method, zero will be fairly well maintained even after repeated removing and remounting of the sight.
Tips:
To mount the sight consistently, place the sight on top of the mount and close the clamp while pushing the sight forward against the recoil slot in the mount. This will ensure a consistent mounting that will not shift under recoil.
I have used this system for many years and found it to be repeatable and reliable.
This sight fits on any Waver or Picatinny base.
